Every ComfortSeal Certified Installer holds a numbered certificate. Enter the number to confirm who it belongs to and whether it is current.
A ComfortSeal Certified Installer certificate shows that the person named on it completed the ComfortSeal installer course: eleven online lessons covering the two products, isocyanate safety and PPE, equipment and processing settings, building science and code barriers, application technique, weather limits, troubleshooting, estimating and job site management, followed by a final exam. Every module quiz and the final exam must be passed with a score of 80% or better before a certificate is issued.
Each certificate carries a number in the form CS-YYYY-NNNNN, where the year is the year it was issued. Certificates are valid for two years from the issue date; after that the installer retakes the course to renew. USAFoam, LLC can revoke a certificate, so a number that once checked out may later show as revoked. A check on this page always reports the current status: active, expired or revoked.
Certification is a condition of the ComfortSeal limited lifetime warranty on the foam and is required by both IAPMO evaluation reports. It covers the installer's training, not the work itself: installation workmanship remains the responsibility of the installing contractor, so ask your installer in writing how they stand behind their work.
